Simple, easy to follow and readily available

I had seen several episode, some from first season, some from second and third, I love to cook and love to learn from other cook. Chef at Home is by far the easiest and the most educational, Michael Smith shows always provide an entrée, a desert and an appetizer or salad, each of the meal are easy to make, materials are easily available, unlike other shows where the cooks will demonstrate exotic materials and spices that does not even exist in your local market.

Michael also explain the fundamental of cooking, the different part of the cooking process, which flavor match with what flavor, how make your own spices, and he also take us to his local supermarket or supplies and explain stuff.

I will say that this is the best cooking show I had seen so far.

"My recipe...cooking..without a recipe"

Smith takes us into his home, tells us to live life in the kitchen without recipes and to not be afraid to experiment. We learn how to shop for things such as the perfect pepper or spices and even the difference between sugars and how to find the perfect kitchen utensil. We get to meet Smith's friends, child and wife. And get to delve into what I think is the most organized kitchen I've ever seen..Smith is funny and personable. Cooks meals that even his young son can enjoy. I love the little touches this show brings and you get the sense of what Micheal may be like if he were entertaining a timid neighbor and showing them how to brave their kitchen….
