Joseph of Cordoba is a medicine man on his way to Nottingham to treat Sir Walter De Lys who has been injured in a jousting tournament.
However other local healers are not impressed by Joseph's more scientific approach to medicine. They are also losing business to him.
Under pressure from the healers, the Sheriff decrees that anyone who treats the families of outlaws would be banished.
It just so happens that Robin Hood needs help from Joseph.
