Hitch always loved romantic stories coupled with a murder, and this is one of them, and one of the most memorable. A must see, especially for fans of Joseph Cotten, a Hitchcock alum, "Shadow of a Doubt."
Cotten returns to the series as Courtney, an unhappily married gentleman who just happens to be caught in "Lovers Lane" by a thief? Now that's original. The problem is not being robbed, but all this being revealed to his wife. And what to do about it?
The story is absolutely amazing as it builds to a very interesting, yet unfortunate end for Courtney.
Wait and see. Another best example of Hitchcock's "you wouldn't want to be in this guys shoes..." tales.
Great support from two beautiful actresses; Julie Adams as Peg and Angela Green as Courtney's wife. Green was originally a Powers Model.
Ted de Corsia plays the probing police inspector, though best remembered for gangsters. One of a few episodes directed by Stuart Rosenberg, known for tv shows like THE UNTOUCHABLES and the film classic, COOL HAND LUKE.
10 Stars. From SEASON 5 EPISODE 9 remastered.
