Late in the night the publisher Helmut Filtscher has been killed in his office. Leo Kress has a lot of suspects: Ralf Warner, the husband of Ruth Warner who was the mistress of Helmut, Tilo Burg ,the former prisonner who has become crime novels writer, his secretary, Susanne who gives a false alibi, the spouse of Helmuth who is disappointed and angry because she learned that her husband has been unfaithful.
A quite interesting story with a great cast: Wolf Roth, Hannelore Hoger,,Chritian Kohlund,Hannelore Elsner (who some years later will play the role of Lea Sommer, the police commissioner of Frankfurt), Jutta Kamman and Walter Renneisen.
