Nikki Holz sets out from Germany to London with important information for Mannering but she is abducted before she can meet up with him. Mannering and Cordelia learn that her captors are members of a neo-Nazi organization who are selling off art treasures in order to fund their attempts to gain dominance in Europe, a discovery which leads the Baron into a dangerous climbing adventure.
The Baron is similar to the Saint, very English in its style, but what makes it unique is that the hero - Mannering - is an American. Steve Forrest plays him, though he lacks the charm of the Saint ( Roger Moore), he still has a likebility and he's little more hard boiled. He is assisted by Paul Ferris as his sidekick.
Mountain climbing, nazi treasure, an over the top villain played by Robert Hardy and murder - average episode bolstered by some excitement, though in the most part it's a little tedious.
