This was a dull episode. Bob is down because he could never tell his mother he loved her. So there is this and that and eventually they invite her to the apartment for dinner. To my way of thinking she is an absolute bore. She is critical and condescending. She tells embarrassing stories about Bob as a child. His hope is to tell her that he loves her, but he is even wimpier than usual. Anyway, it goes on with very little funny stuff. The only laugh I got was when one of Bob's appointments is a guy who is always late for everything, including his session with Bob. When Carol asks if being late is a big deal, Bob points out that the guy is a lifeguard.
