Another KND Episode with an Emotional Weight to it
carologletree3 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is another strong full-length KND adventure. We once again get an episode that discusses the sadness and difficulties that come from growing up quite well.

Numbuh 9, A.K.A. Maurice, one of the best operatives the Kids Next Door has ever known, has reached the age of thirteen and has been decommissioned. Everyone is saddened by it, especially Numbuh Five. She has been keeping an eye on him to make sure the teenagers don't recruit him. Speaking of the teenagers, they have a plan to spread the disease known as the chickenpox to the kids.

We find out many things in this episode. We find out how Numbuh Five got her hat, that Numbuh Five is the oldest member of Sector V, and that there are some KND operatives who continue to be operatives even after turning thirteen.

This episode gave great character development for Numbuh Five, and Maurice is a great character. We get some pretty nice action sequences and some very emotional scenes. For some reason, I felt that the sappy scenes in this episode worked better than in "Operation F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N."

However, I must state that chicken pox having real chickens all over your face was pretty disturbing.

Kids Next Door episodes are almost always of high quality, and this is no exception. Worth checking out.
