Hospital worries
JordanThomasHall5 April 2019
Tom and Norman are checking into the hospital for required tests for their company's new insurance. Eddie is concerned that something is really wrong. Norman's wit quickly comes in conflict with the nurse, Miss Fern (Catherine Ferrar) registering them. Tom and Norman dress in their gowns and meet their eccentric doctor, Hal 'Speed' Gould (Andrew Prine, "The Miracle Worker"). His devil-may-care attitude scares Norman, but Tom feels he probably is one of the best when it counts. Mrs. Livingston takes a worried Eddie to see his dad, but Miss Fern doesn't allow children to visit. This makes Eddie more certain than ever that something is wrong. Meanwhile, a snippy, hungry, test weary Tom and Norman are working on a magazine layout in their room with Tina after having to stay the night there. Mrs. Livingston phones Tom's room and lets Eddie talk to him. He tries to reassure his son but explains to Norman and Tina that he won't believe it, as his mother went to the hospital and never came back. Dr. Gould relates that the tests so far have been alright, except they want Tom to take another cardiogram. Now Tom is also worried.

Moral: Trust over fear
