Clay McCord goes to the nearby town of Ludlow see about opening a new store. Immediately on his arrival, he's framed for murder and sentenced to hang in three days. Simon rides hard to get there. He soon figures out that there's a cattle rustling operation going on and Clay was framed because the rustlers knew he was a part time deputy marshal. During his investigation, Simon meets Joy Cartwright, whose brother Edmund runs revival meetings as a cover for the rustlers. Simon turns on the suave charm and makes out with Joy on the couch, getting her to spill the beans about where the next rustling will take place. Simon wants to form a posse of honest ranchers to stop them, but will they believe him?

Gorgeous Martha Hyer plays Joy Cartwright. Henry Fonda must have really enjoyed the make out scenes with her on the couch.

This is an excellent, fast moving episode well worth watching.
