the two impostors
Barely deserves 4, but for the (very, very, very tame) shower scene with Heather Locklear, for her and for her alone...

What would this episode have been like had we still had Pamela Sue Martin and Catherine Oxenberg? Just imagine. Fallon always appears on the opening montage as compared to a young wild mare, and this Emma Samms, well, uhm, well, er, I don't wanna be rude, but Emma, well, Emma ain't Pamela's left-over breakfast. And Amanda always appears on the montage as compared to Tower Bridge*, her European class. Well, besides not being even remotely European, Karen Cellini ain't Catherine's used tissues either. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is, replacement ladies. You're both just totally inadequate.

*I wince every time I see Karen Cellini's face framed by Tower Bridge!

That scene with Michael, in the office with both Fallon and Amanda... There you have THREE who shouldn't have been there, but as for the two actresses, not only did the producers under- estimate the audience, the entire DYNASTY casting department gave a weak effort.

It's amazing that the show survived as long as it did. It is dead on its feet as this episode rumbles on. Story-wise, it is nothing, well, of course there's a story, but it's nothing that great, and character-wise, golden opportunities are cast aside, instead of another Sammy Jo vs. Alexis showdown we have boring old Jeff looking in, we have spin-off character Dominique having her own (tediously boring) show, unattractive characters Ben (worm!) and Michael (mongoose!) and two struggling (impostor) actresses and hell, just a promising little appetite-wetting scene with love-birds Sammy Jo and Clay that doesn't go anywhere.

It doesn't even deserve a 4, but I'd be betraying Heather Locklear if I didn't take her presence into account.

It seems DYNASTY is set for this kind of ride. Lows, lows, and more lows.

I repeat, it's a wonder it survived for two more seasons. WHY?
