Cat fight!
dilloncheah12 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The first of the celebrated Krystle-Alexis cat fights featured in this episode. It's a doozy! 10/10 just for that. All the other subplots also gather momentum, particularly regarding Fallon's paternity, Krystle's miscarriage, Claudia's search for her daughter.

Aftermath of the Revelation

Interesting episode: circa 1982, the Carringtons didn't even have an answering machine.

After Sammy Jo's (Heather Locklear) shocking revelation at the party, Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin) grabbed Alexis (Joan Collins) and took off in the car to scare the truth out of her.

The revelation (which I won't reveal) would have been funny (I laughed; Collins had a perfect delivery) had not Fallon lost control of her car and crashed off the road.

In this episode when Fallon's taken to the hospital Alexis calls everyone on a pay phone. Yes, she spent the night dropping quarters.

Blake and Krystle are making out when Alexis calls. The phone (like all phones in 1982) was attached to its umbilical cord and it rang and rang and rang. A few years later we'd hear it pick up after the phone rings four times and (probably in Joseph's voice) say "We're not here right now . . ." Because back then no one thought anything of announcing they weren't home.

Even Rockford, living in a trailer, had an answering machine. But the Carringtons appear to be too cheap to buy one.

Anyway, what will happen with Fallon's pregnancy? What vengeance will Alexis wreak on Sammy Jo? And where is Jeff? Ask Claudia. Why is John Forsythe always surrounded by beautiful women?
