Yes, the ship, a graceful old schooner, should just have sunk, quietly, gracefully, down to the murky depths of cancelled TV series. Instead, it rumbles on, belching smoke like an old fishing steamer now, its rusting hulk an atrocity to behold.
But after what I said re Catherine Oxenberg last week, just the following: TV's very own closest-thing-to-a-Princess looks absolutely gorgeous, and as for (the character) 'His Royal Highness', he sure needs a kick up his butt, the bum! No wonder the revolutionaries deposed the lot! Heather Locklear is great, of course, but in one most unfortunate way, a bit difficult to take seriously. I don't know if I mentioned this last week, but her look was pirated by the Eighties hair bands, and all of these years later, it's as if the copycats are detracting from the original. Weird. Not that it's in any way her fault. She is damned marvelous.
Not so Diahann Caroll. What an embarrassment. Excess baggage. Series stalwart John James should also pull up his socks, whiny ol' Jeff is tediously irksome.
