More people need to be aware of aortic aneurysms
MiketheWhistle11 September 2020
One merely needs to read about John Ritter's passing from an aortic aneurysm to understand just how deadly they are. In his case he has medical care around him and a hospital less than a mile away but still passed away.

They are not nearly as prevalent as heart attacks or strokes, but they do happen and because of how quick they can take your life one should know the symptoms,. I had a relative by marriage that had one that was leaking for at least a day before they sought medical help and they were told within a couple hours more they would have died.

They tend to run in families as there are some for which there is a genetic trait. Considering that the show was from 1975 and this is 2020 and people still die unknowingly from them and how hard the actors portrayed "i;m ok" I hope that those at risk get scanned.
