Much puppy love going around

Warning: Spoilers
Uncle Bill is interested in a female geologist (Lee Meriwether). Buffy develops a crush on Jody's new friend Andy. Predictably, Andy meets Cissy, and he's interested in her, not Buffy. This aspect of the episode is not entirely believable, because I couldn't see what Buffy liked about this guy. He wasn't "good looking" and his self-absorbed personality didn't help. I will give him credit for good taste, though. I wish I could have taken Cissy out for a soda, too! I liked that Buffy didn't blame Cissy for the situation. This guy was definitely not worth the trouble. As for Bill's situation, I found Lee Meriwether's character not very likeable. She had to have realized that Bill liked her. When she told him it was "only business" for her, I didn't believe her. She might have been set to marry someone else, but I think she was turning down the guy she really liked. Curiously, Lee didn't look very attractive here. It matched the unappealing character she played.

Buffy's First Crush

Buffy falls in love with a friend of Jody's named Andy, he then falls for Cissy.

A good Buffy episode. It begins with Bill on a date with a geologist who would rather talk business. She is played by Lee Meriwether. This was just one year after she played Catwoman in the "Batman" movie. Andy comes over to the Davis place and starts showing off for Cissy, Buffy gets hurt. Bill gets rejected by the geologist which puts him in the same boat as Buffy.
