Car Wars (#5.9)

Warning: Spoilers
Laura wants to get herself a car and goes by herself to the dealership. Yet the dealer does not treat her as well as the male customers because he doesn't believe that she understands about cars. So she dresses up as a guy to come and get a fair price while being dressed up and Urkel helps her to act like a guy. He also helps her after when the dealer catches her.

I think it was a very funny episode. I especially love how Laura looked when dressed up as a guy!

And the scenes where Urkel was teaching her to walk like a guy would was a total riot

Laura... not Larry

Unlike the other reviewer, I hated the way Laura looked as a guy!! At the beginning of the episode, she looked so nice, with her long hair, red lipstick and short skirt. Why did she have to ditch all that and dress like a guy? To facilitate the dumb premise of this episode. It's not sexist for a business owner to expect anyone to pay full price for something. Laura only succeeded in making herself unattractive. She never proved that anything sexist had taken place. It takes a lot for me to criticize Kellie S Williams. I think she was fantastic as Laura Winslow. The best part of the episode, ironically, is when Steve is showing her how to act like a guy. I loved when he said: "what happened to your bazooms?" Laura takes exception to the question, as if she never noticed him looking before! As unappealing as she looked, dressed as a guy, that Steve-Laura connection still managed to come through.

Yes, use the same sort of sexism (girls being seen differently) to your advantage to win in the end. What a great lesson!

Not that I'm into virtue-signalling, but hypocrisy is hypocrisy. Just a small preview of the sort of mentality that is rampant today.
