Have Yourself A Just Ok Christmas Now!
pedroedro29 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
That's what I feel about this episode, just ok, even for Familly Matters standards. The Winslow family is having christmas and the one hapiness they show it's not having to deal with Urkel (this was the section of the series where they realized they either turned the series towards Urkel, or it would be cancelled quick). The episode is predictable as hell, it's obvious from the beggining that 1) Steve is gonna prove that Santa exists and 2 ) That Urkel is gonna spend Christmas with them. The final is cheesy but well done for what it's aiming for. The story with the teddy bear it was totally unecessary and not entertaining but it served as a "Mcguffin" for the finale. Ho Ho Ho

Damn, I miss Christmas specials like these. Not laden with edgy jokes and crass shock-value scenes. Just plain old-fashioned unity and joy being spread between a tight-knit caring family. I miss how shows used to be.

Have Yourself a Very Winslow Christmas (#2.13)
ComedyFan20104 June 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Again, where is the fun? I know, I know, it is a Christmas episode. But it was so booooooooring and cheesy that it is inexcusable.

Steve believes in Santa? Are you kidding me, the guy is an A student and nerd. He should have stopped believing in Santa by the age of four with his brain. And they also try to make it look as if the whole family starts believing in it too because of the Freddy Teddy (also, whats so great about that bear that it was so hard to find?). It seems as if this episode was mainly directed at the viewers of Richie's age. Nobody also could actually take it seriously.

So one can just hope that after the Holiday season is over and all the boring "magic" is done we will get some real Winslow fun.
