Stefan Returns (#5.24)

Warning: Spoilers
And here we had Stephan back. Lara begs Steve to bring back Stephan only with a few improvements, to make him less self centered and a better boyfriend. So Steve does accept the challenge and succeeds! During a beautiful day with Stephan Laura confesses her love to him and he suddenly turns into Steve Urkel!

I am not a fan of too much Stephan, I only like him as a great example of Jaleel White's acting skills as he can go from a nerd like Steve to a gentleman like Stephan. But it worked pretty well here. Mainly because of the great ending where Urkel promises his challenge will be from now on to get Stephan back. Will this be the theme of the 6th season? Looking forward to see!

A fine line between nerd and stud

Warning: Spoilers
Laura reacts to Stefan as if he's completely separate from Steve Urkel. Does she believe this-or is Stefan just Steve the way she would have always liked Steve to be? Anyway, Laura looks great in her red dress. The appearance by Freddie Jackson didn't make much sense. As Stefan, Steve gets his chance to get close to Laura. What guy wants another guy hanging around while trying to get close to a girl? Simply playing the song would have sufficed. When Stefan starts reverting back to Steve, Laura gets upset and says: "I can't talk now, Steve." Maybe, if she did talk, she would reveal that she really likes (or even loves him) as Steve in the first place.

Shallow

I love this show but an episode like this just shows how shallow people were about looks and personality back in the 1990s. It is really fun to see Steve Urkel as a different character but hard to watch how vain Laura is.
