This episode passes the message to have a healthy balance between studying and fun and also not to rely too much on careers such as basketball. I actually liked how they did it because they looked into both extremes and showed that studying as much as Laura did isn't healthy either.
Laura was pretty funny in this episode. Her hysteria over not remembering the atomic weight was a great part of the episode and she played it nicely.
It is a bit weird that a small peck on a cheek from Urkel to Carl was such a big deal, but the scene where Urkel does it was a pretty good one
