OK. it had bud Bundy

Warning: Spoilers
once yet again, i love the ones with Mr Belvedere, it makes up for the fact the show was running out of ideas. right off the bat i noticed bad acting timing in this one. Mr Belevedere (im sorry sir) made his eyes light up before he heard the word "swinger" and rich guy did the same thing. i liked how roarke drinks his whatever drink while talking to guests, think he is always bombed? it must be very easy to be alcoholic doing that job.

the first story arc was stupid, it had Florence Henderson as a lady with two kids who wants to be a swinger and get away from them. but as Mr Rourke says 'at what price". Her one kid is an easily recognizable Bud Bundy. David Fasintino i believe, i remember seeing him all over the place before Married with Children, his best one was the most unknown, a Disney Mr Boogety appearance. anyhow he wasn't that cute of a kid, how'd he get that job of being a child actor. If anything he looked better growing up, maybe he had producer parents. Pisses me off seeing him now and he still has a thick head of hair. cruel irony. I also looked up the girl who played his sister. Died of a heroin overdose in 97 at the age of 21, how sad. she was a year and six days older than me. how sad.

so in that story things i noticed was Bud Bundy had way too much knowledge of what a woman wants in a man when describing a perfect man. it was weird. I like how his sister hears her mom wants a big Man and brings the nearest fat guy with a Hawaiian shirt and plaid pants. he looked familiar. then Florence likes the creepy guy with the big forehead, big mouth , sunken eyes, and mustache. hes some sex symbol from the 70's and I've seen him on this show before. Its weird seeing Florence AKA Mrs Brady looking for a guy. I remember a fantasy island where Mr Brady was wanting to be a vampire for an upcoming acting role and he had some wife. it seemed weird then, that it wasn't Mrs. Brady. I guess if i saw Mr Brady in real life, it would be even more bizarre (he was gay) the other story was some rich guy, who had a nice captians hat, was dying and wanted to give his money to someone who would help people .then it got all stupid when he approcached a old business enemies kid who was on the island to have him take over. but the kids stubborn and was with a chic but then went to the boat that had a another chic and went into her bathroom when she was showering and she was cool with him pretending he didn't care and then playing with her towel she was wearing and then making out. I tried that, you get a restraining order. worth the watch for just that part. and then they pillow talk for about 5 minutes, i missed most of that due to boredom and an I phone to play with. there was a part where the captian of the ship was dumping gas and ready to light the boat on fire. Unfortanly not only was there no one in it, they talked him out of it.

the end shows the kids really missing Lawrence, but the whole episode when they were with him, they were crying about their missing mom. stupid kids. dumb episode, but enjoyable.

Backdoor?
VetteRanger19 November 2023
Somehow I have the feeling that the "Random Choice" segment may have been a backdoor pilot which would have had Jose Ferrer and James Read harkening back to the old series, "The Millionaire". The segment had all the earmarks of a pilot, with a contentious meeting, family history secrets revealed, and finally an agreement to go forth into the world with Read being the front man to spread Ferrer's largess around to deserving people. It might have made a decent replacement for Fantasy Island, then in its last season.

The Florence Henderson segment was weak. She needed no more than to hire a baby sitter and then hit the bar scene. LOL.

Well Same review for all episodes which don't contain Tattoo, THEY STINK!

Well Same review for all episodes which don't contain Tattoo, THEY STINK! The Lawrence character was a horrible substitute (albeit slightly better than storybook reading Julie!) for the little guy. But that's not what makes this episode terrible, they just ran out of good stories and resorted to more torrid tales to keep the audience engaged. It's ashame, they should have found a way to accommodate Hervé, it would have at least given the show a little more character. They also could have had Robert Goulèt sing or Florence do a dance and of course the big burly guy could have had a shotgun and stopped Arnold from stealing a motorcycle (the last one was just a joke!).

It gets 2 stars for 1 reason, it was still a Fantasy Island episode and that's worth at least 1 more star than giving it just 1.
