Reverend Mother Placido returns to the convent with new habits for the sisters. The blue dresses are shorter with a designer appearance and stylish hat. The reverend mother is under orders from the mother general (Edith Atwater, "Strait-Jacket") who feels the new look should be "comfortable, presentable, and show us to the secular world with restraint and dignity". Everyone loves them, but Sister Bertrille finds when rescuing a cat from a tree that she can no longer fly. She switches back to her old coronet and can successfully fly, but it isn't the approved uniform. The reverend mother confirms that her flying days are over, but allows her to don her old habit for just one last flight. The situation depresses everyone. Carlos' girlfriend Dolores (Corinne Camacho) makes costumes, giving him a great idea.
