Kimble walks into the middle of a weird father-son struggle.
planktonrules29 April 2018
Sheriff Corby (John Larch) is a difficult father to have. He pushes his son, Larry (Beau Bridges), to become a cop and wants to control the boy's life. The son resists but has plans to really show up his father...by committing an armed robbery! Unfortunately for the dopey son, he's shot in the process...and Sheriff Corby captures him. But instead of jailing his son, he tries to cover for him...even if that means forcing Dr. Kimble to treat Larry! As for Kimble, it's not like he has a lot of choice in the matter...and, once again, he's gambling on finding a chance to escape.

Overall, this is yet another enjoyable, well written and engaging episode of the series. Not among the best, but solid and worth your time...mostly because, as usual, the show never insulted your intelligence!

a very good episode in the series, this episode includes a story line about a cops son who wishes to elope with his sweetheart, needing money he is wounded in his attempt to rob the store at gunpoint where he and Janssen work and is chased by his own father, the aftermath of this makes for a very nice drama ,a young Beau Bridges and a great performance by David Janssen make this an exceptional entry in the greatest series ever, very fine work by all the actors including John Larch a must show for you fugitive fans!this episode is in color , i prefer the b&w footage of the earlier episodes but at times color is very nice change

Kimble is a clerk in a grocery store that gets robbed. The proprietor shoots the robber, who is disguised in a ski mask as he escapes. The police think Kimble may be involved as he doesn't seem to have any provable background, although they don't know who he really is yet. But the real complication is that the thief, (Beau Bridges), is the son of the police chief, (John Larch), who now has the twin dilemmas of arresting or protecting his estranged son and getting medical help for him. He finds out from his wanted poster who Kimble is and goes after him himself. He forces Kimble at gunpoint to come to his house and treat his son, who has developed a fever and badly needs to be in a hospital. To add to the dramatic stew, the son's girlfriend, whom the Chief has treated dismissively, is pregnant with his son's child. And she wants him to live, even if he has to go to jail.

It's another classic Gordian Knot of a situation for Richard Kimble to find his way out of.

Young Beau in trouble again.
kennyp-4417726 April 2022
Beau Bridges plays a troubled son again,he had already done so in the previous season,so his performance obviously impressed the producers. He is supported by the brilliant John Larch, a domineering father, in his last appearance in this show, and other good guest stars( like Campenello). Good story, but would have liked the action moved on to the hospital, with Sheriff Corby insisting Kimble stay with his son until they were in the reception room. With cops chasing and maybe already waiting there would have endangered Kimble even more.
