The "gist" of the episode is to be true to your own feelings, rather than those imposed upon you. In the 1957-1958 tv season, Burns and Allen stayed with its identity, but lost the ratings count to the Western Restless Gun, running against it on NBC. Burns and Allen was replaced by The Texan, which beat Restless Gun in 1958-1959. CBS developed many Westerns in the 1950s.
