this episode still makes me laugh

Warning: Spoilers
Even though I know what's coming. That part where Ralph cozies up to the county agent on the couch is nearly as funny as the episode when Haney sells the outboard motor attached to a 55 gallon drum and says it's a washing machine.

Won't You Come Home, Hank Kimball?

Warning: Spoilers
When the county gets a new supervisor, Mr. Kimball gets the boot. Only he's not very unhappy about it--getting fired gives him an excuse not to marry Ralph Monroe! Lisa sees how heartbroken this has made Ralph and goes to Kimball's boss, Mr. Treffinger (Parley Baer) to see if she can help him get his job back. But its no good. Treffinger insists the new guy, Mr. Schmidlapp (the same name used by Howard Morris' character in the Jerry Lewis movie "Way, Way Out") has the job for as long as he wants it. In the meantime, Mr. Douglas and the other farmers don;t like Schmidlap's attitude. So despite what it might mean for Kimball, they decide to help him get his job back. They do it by sicking Ralph on him! Her attempts to be a seductress are both funny and embarrassing at the same time. A side note to this episode: Baer, who plays Mr. Treffinger played Eb in the original radio version of "Green Acres". Gale Gordon and Bea Bernadette had the lead roles.
