Retitle this episode 'The Stock-Market' . It crashed!

This episode was set-up so well in part one- but in this second part of the story it was as much fun as a wheelchair.

Basically, as we know from part one, Chitterly is a traitor that is to visit Hitler to discuss the English surrender. Hogan gets Crittendon to stand-in for Chitterly and bring the discussions to a halt. The viewer was all set-up as Ms Chitterly arrived and for the trip to Berlin.

But then the story almost turned into a soap opera as Ms Chitterly started to have feeling for Hogan. Now, instead of the Chitterly's visiting Hitler we are left with the Chitterly's and Hogan sitting down for a serious dinner. It was dull.

The only bright spot of the show was when Major Hochstetter (Howard Caine) arrived and began his Gestapo tactics that is the main-stream of the show. Other than that scenario, there was little in the form of humor. Bernard Fox is always terrific as the inept Crittendon but did not have much to work with in the second part of the script.

This story (part 1 and 2) could have been much better if shorten into a regular thirty minute show. There just was not enough interesting material for an entire hour for a comedy sitcom.

Jumped the shark

I loved Hogans Heroes. I don't know exactly when the show jumped the shark, but it could have been here. Maybe it's just me, but I never liked Crittendon.
