Dressed to Kill

Inspector Duval investigates skullduggery in a French fashion house. Copyright and design infringement.

Bernarde is a fashion designer for a small boutique. He believes that the designs for his new clothes collections will be copied.

Inspector Duval an old friend sends fellow detective Carol LeDuc to go undercover.

Initially she finds nothing wrong. However a seamstress in the same boutique has had a her head turned by a modelling agency. They persuade her to smuggle out some of the new range of clothes which they plan to quickly copy.

There is trouble for Carol as her identity is exposed.

This type of story is still current. The fashion boutique designer trying to protect their creation. The baddies here were rather unconvincing as potential murderers. It seemed to be contrived to add danger and Duval into the proceedings.
