J. D. Cannon was the main reason I enjoyed "The Organization" ep of "The Invaders"

This is the very first ep of "The Invaders" I watched after taping it off of MeTV. What entertained me about this one was seeing J. D. Cannon, who I remember somewhat from the series "McCloud" since until recently, I'd never seen an entire ep, playing a drug kingpin who reluctantly makes a deal with the leading player of this series. His distinctive voice was sooooo familiar that it's hard to not be pleasantly distracted by it and he chews the scenery for all it's worth, that's for sure! Perhaps because it's much later during the second season of this series run, part of the narrative confused me but I enjoyed this ep, just the same.

This Episode Is Close To Being Called A Classic

Bad boy JD Cannon and his criminal friends might join the battle against the aliens...but would such a deal work?

No women at all in this adventure, a situation that was rather normal to sister series of the day, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, but very new to the Invaders! This is all big bad boys Vs The Invaders!

Guest stars JD Cannon and young Chris Robinson both appeared in some of the very best episodes of QM's The Fugitive (1963-67) series: Robinson was in "See Hollywood And Die" playing a creep and Cannon was in the grand two-part ending called "The Judgement".

The Organization comes close to be called a classic but one point gets taken way because the hour feels just a bit too much like QM's The Untouchables rather than QM's The Invaders.

One more must see episode

Warning: Spoilers
I still wondered why I liked this episode so much. I found. It's because there is no gal in it. Don't misunderstand me, I have nothing against chicks, but sometimes they are useless in man's world. And this story is a real one. A man's tale. Rough, tough, and dark. JD Cannon gives a powerful performance, as a gang leader, narcotics ring major chief who has to fight against David at first but who then happens to be his ally against aliens. I love this kind of schemes. Evil vs Evil

The ending is also exquisite. In this episode, David Vincent's character is early a supporting one. Just nearly. I only watched the JD Cannon's one.

Directed by a TV productions vet: William Hale.
