Steven Eckholdt is a pale clone of Rosalind Shays and as unpleasant as she made it, he just turns it into a joke. A series on its way out, trying to hard to be relevant again. This last season has been mundane and plain and wholly uninspired and this is just another example of a desperate poor choice by the writers.

Awful is the only word that can describe the new actor and associated plot direction. Smarmy and poorly executed could also be applied to both, respectively..
Basically, watching this series at this point onwards is like being in a private hospital ward, sitting next to a bed containing a terminally ill relative on life-support waiting for it all to end and finally be over.
The plots are flailing around, the series is haemorrhaging actors - the turnover of actors is quite astonishing, a veritable revolving door of talent. It's a shame but the heady heights of series 1-4 will never be attained again.
