With the presence of a looming forest fire the drama of this Laramie story is
played out. Karl Swenson who has a farm near Sherman station is a widower
with a stepson Jan Merlin to help run the place. He's decided he's needing
female companionship so he places an ad for a mail order bride. He gets one in
Cloris Leachman who arrives amidst the forest fire.
Unfortunately Cloris is not what she claims. And her beauty has Merlin's hormones raging and she's even got an ex-boyfriend in Jason Evers who has just gotten out of jail.
