This is probably the best of the firefighter shows (well, an offshoot anyway) since there are no stupid, destructive shenanigans in this one.
Lucy's failed at getting the City Council to pay for the ladies' snazzy new uniforms, so to raise funds, they organize a paper drive, which results in the Carmichael living room resembling one of those houses seen on HOARDERS, crammed with 34 tons of newspaper.
It's not a great episode but not as embarrassing as the other ones where they are firefighters. The big scene with the dump truck is filmed without an audience because of the logistics. The best parts happen during the "court martial" scene where Vivian and Mary Jane (sporting big-time helmet-hair) march like the Gestapo; and Lucy's "Maybe it's the Governor!" exclamation.
The best of a weak field, but not a must-see.
