Maude thinks she has a great idea for a New Year's Eve party.
Another very funny Season 3 episode. Everybody is in a bad mood on New Year's Eve and Maude suggests a scavenger hunt. Then she finds out someone already did that. Since everybody is complaining about how they did not like 1974 she comes up with the idea of everybody dressing as their favorite year. Maude says 1945 and does a Gypsy Rose Lee striptease. Walter recalls his army days in 1942, Arthur the election of Eisenhower in 1952, Vivian dresses as Shirley Temple since she likes the year she was 5 and Carol in a leather jacket saying I Love Elvis for 1961. A bickering couple leaves their cranky old aunt Polly at the party. She is played by Judith Lowery who is responsible for some of the biggest laughs in this show.
