Walter is on the verge of bankruptcy and Maude wants to mortgage the house and give the money to him but he is too proud to accept it.
A very funny Season 3 episode. It begins with a funny argument between Maude and Mrs Naugatuck about dinner. Walter has been eating too much and gaining weight, Maude says "He could rent out his tushy as the Goodyear blimp!" She finds out Walter's money problem and he rejects her offer and goes to Arthur instead. Arthur doesn't have the money and this is followed by a darkly funny scene where Walter is introduced to a man (Dick Wilson who played Mr Whipple on the Charmin commercials) who lost his business. The man takes poison and drops dead. There are more laughs as Walter's stomach gets fatter in the next scene. Maude mortgages the house and tells Arthur to pretend like he is giving Walter the money. It does not go as planned.
