In the last episode of "Murder Most Horrid"'s second season, Dawn French plays a nightclub singer who's about to marry the getaway driver of a gang of bank robbers. His partners don't appreciate his "going straight", so they kill him, and put the blame on a rival gang now operating in Spain; their plan is to persuade Dawn to go there and kill them - and get herself eliminated in the process. But Dawn realizes the truth and decides to get even with her fiancé's killers. This is not the best episode of the series or anything, but - as usual - the sting in its tail is well worth waiting for. Not to give anything away but....you go, girl! Hywel Bennett chews the scenery as the chauvinistic leader of the gang. **1/2 out of 4.
