When Val breaks the news to Fran that her ex-boyfriend Danny is marrying rival Heather biblow, Fran is devastated and goes on a shopping spree that turns her into an addict. She gets complete support from the household, even C.C. being sympathetic. But it is obvious that she has a major problem, taking Gracie from Fifth Avenue out to New Jersey, and really going into major debt. When Maxwell realizes the extent of her problem, he steps in to help her, and it is another sign that their relationship is facing a tighter Bond. There are some funny moments involving Niles making very frozen popsicles and C.C. trying one, and ultimately having it stuck to her tongue. Lauren Lane is hysterical speaking with a lisp, complaining of freezer burn. This is more character-based than laugh based, and that makes it a good, if not a hysterically funny episode.
