Yes, there are laughs, but they are forced and basically you're laughing at Fran here, not with her. She's being audited and basically makes a fool out of herself with the man from the IRS, going over the top in every way. There are more laughs concerning Maxwell's attempt to spend quality time with Brighton who seems bored by his father, but I'd be bored too if I had to go to the Opera against my will or sit in a Jacuzzi right next to hairy, sweaty large men, and especially he's confusing Pearl Bailey with Pearl Jam. There are also cameos by Jay Leno, Rich Little and Monty Hall, as well as a few funny moments concerning grandma Yetta and Sylvia. Smiles, not laughs, at most of the jokes, so not a skipper of an episode, but not one I'd rush back to quickly either.
