Watching the Season Premiere of GRIMM tonight, Nightmare Cafe came to mind. My brother & I loved this show! I believe it was one of the most really original shows to enter into story lines of the unknown. It had an eerie, but believable, quality and did not go overboard in it's plot lines and characters. Too bad this show was canceled. GRIMM is in the same time slot, or close to it, and has a large fan base and is doing well. I can't account for why Nightmare Cafe failed. Are 'we' just ready now for 'stranger than life' shows than when Nightmare Cafe came out? The minimal base of regular characters was able to hold the story lines & could have provided a deeper look into the characters lives, had the show not been canceled. I just remember that sometimes there were themes that I could identify with. Would love to see this show 'resurrected,' at least in reruns.
