Bilko Turns The Tables To Help Doberman
ccthemovieman-118 September 2006
Doberman receives a check for $500. Everyone in the platoon now is his friend including Bilko, of course. But when Doberman volunteers to give Ernie the check for safekeeping because he trusts him, Bilko is genuinely touched and is now looking out for the slobby solider's best interests.

Unfortunately, the next day Doberman goes to a hotel in town to meet Bilko where the sergeant is going to help with new clothes and make the private a new man. Before Bilko can meet him, however, Doberman loses the $500 to three con artists, who fleece naive soldiers with a rigged poker game. Bilko, familiar with these tactics, shows up at the hotel the next day and pretends he's one of these dupes, to con the con men and get Doberman's money back.

You can guess who gets fleeced next! In all, a "decent" episode but not as good as I had hoped it would be with its premise.

Bilko's Got Another Scheme
StrictlyConfidential20 March 2021
In order for you to get any real entertainment value out of watching this episode from TV's "The Phil Silvers Show" you've gotta be willing to cut it some serious slack.

Anyway - As the story goes - When Doberman's lawsuit is settled, he gets a $500 check, which he quickly loses to some card sharks. Now Bilko must come to his rescue and get the money back.

See what happens when Bilko goes into his shtick of deception and conniving.
