Fletcher's daughter visits him and causes a stir.
This is a good episode with enjoyable character moments.
As always the interaction between Fletch and other characters is very good. He has solid banter with the likes of Godbar, McKay, and Ingrid.
The writers use it as an opportunity to provide more backstory to the non-prison, personal lives of the leading characters and to a certain extent do a bit of development. There is a good theme relating to the impact of prison on inmates personal lives. You feel how out of control they are whilst imprisoned and the resulting losses. It is all done with the usual character driven humour.
Ronnie Barker is great as always, convincing with mix of rogue criminal, caring cell mate and protective father. Richard Beckinsale on good form too.
