This comes the day after his mistress Carol Lesco (Brenda Benet) has been kidnapped and a $5 million ransom demanded.
Secret agent Hugh Lockwood (Hugh O'Brian) is dispatched by his private investigation company World Securities to expedite the payment in order to secure Ms.Lesko's safe return. He also looks into why she was kidnapped and who the secretive group of wealthy supporters of Elliott's senate bid really are.
The actions taken by characters in this episode appear to run counter-intuitive to those which precede them. There is also a wide inconsistency in the respective mindsets of each of the guest characters in particular. It is still entertaining up until the viewer begins to apply logic.
