With less side-stories, this would have been better.

Last episode, Caitlin's ex-husband, Trevor Wolfe, had return to do some commercials for Randall Winston. When things did not go well with the ads, it still did not effect Caitlin and Trevor renewing their relationship which was much to the chagrin of Mike. Mike then tries to dig up some dirt on poor Trevor but actually the dirt lands right in his lap. He cannot wait to tell Caitlin.

Meanwhile, Carter is paranoid about being discriminated against because he is gay. He sets up an apartment seller and poses Stuart and him as lovers. He just knows that the seller will have nothing to do with renting to gays- but things are not as bad as Carter imagines.

Both stories was actually amusing but what the writers left on the table was the story about the Mayor not doing well with older voters. So he hires a 107 year old woman to work around the office. There was a lot of potential with that story but it seemed that little effort was put into bringing the story to the front. That was actually the funniest part of the episode.

Overall, this was better than some previous episodes as it kept the interest level high. It does seem that they are trying to put too many stories into one show which takes away and shortens a story that may be interesting. They appear to try to make all the actors happy, which is rarely done, by trying to insert several stories into each show. Perhaps more story and less actors may be the way to go. Still a good watch.
