Written by Louis L'Amour and is based on the first Chick Bowdrie short story and for a 30 TV episode is as close to the original story as one could expect when Bill Longley has to lead the episode. The young man who plays Bowdrie went on to star in the pilot of the Bowdrie proposed series and fits LLs description of Bowdrie reasonably well.

All Star Cast, lots of action and suspense.

Excellent! The all-star cast of "No Place to Stop" includes Denver Pyle and Strother Martin. Bill Longley has been sent by the Governor to help Noah Whipple, who is out on parole, get a full pardon. The Blackstons, a family of cutthroats, intend to kill Whipple (actor Robert Burton) and take over his ranch. Chick Bowdrie (actor Chuck Wassil), who is sweet on Whipple's daughter Laura, has an itchy trigger finger. How will The Texan stop the violence between Whipple, Bowdrie, and the Blackstons? I rate this one 10 stars.
