Shiloh, her new home
bkoganbing16 February 2019
This Virginian story is the first to feature Diane Roter as Judge Garth's niece Jennifer come to live with Shiloh. Roter is the daughter of Lee J. Cobb's sister and a ne'er do well husband whom he never really liked. They're both dead now and Roter is looking to make Shiloh her new home.

She's had a rough go of it and she's drawn to a passenger she meets on the stagecoach, young James MacArthur who tells Roter of his hardscrabble background. But he's also one unregenerate punk with a hair trigger and suspected of murder. MacArthur arouses Sheriff Clu Gulager's suspicions and it's downhill from there.

The episode belongs to guest star James MacArthur who gets a chance to flex his acting chops as he's usually a good guy. Fans of the series will like it.
