A viper in the bosom.

Jane has decided to become a nun, Harvey brings in some extra help, in the form of Greta Mueller, a Stern German woman with very different ideas about caring for the elderly.

A fun episode, poor Jane love sick, desperate for Harvey's affections, Tom in his own little world, and a common enemy. Getting rid of Diana seems to be Harvey's new raison d'etre.

Richenda Carey is a wonderful actress, she is excellent here as Greta, she's terrifying, and a good adversary for Tom and Diana.

Plenty of jokes throughout, Tom recounts some of his war stories, and there are of course some jokes about the war, not quite so heavy as those in Fawlty Towers.

Antonio the Portuguese gardener is funny, he'd get some funny scenes in future episodes, primarily Diana ranting at him.

Tom becomes the head of the Residents' Association...and an awful woman is there to take Jane's job.

Jane inexplicably has decided to quite Bayview and become a nun. This delights the idiot Baines because he's found a hellishly awful woman named Greta Mueller to take Jane's job. Soon, Mueller is running the place like a prison camp and the residents of Bayview are naturally afraid of this cretin.

The idiot Baines and Frau Mueller both concoct yet another plan to expel Diana from the retirement home. It involves stoking the fires of an argument between Tom and Diana...and getting Tom to throw her out of Bayview as he is the new head of the Residents' Association. Naturally, by the end of the show, Tom and Diana have the last laugh.

While seeing Tom and Diana disliking each other seems odd and out of place, the show is clever and fun...and well worth your time.
