This British series featured the American Rhodes Reason (brother of Rex Reason) as John A. Hunter, a renown guide in Africa. The regional Commissioner wants Hunter to escort the news photographer Sherman Wick and his assistant Martha Locklan to the farming lands run by Chief Arusna. The Cambridge educated Arusna is trying to bring modern agricultural methods to his territory. But Wick, who had written a slanderous article about the Arusna when he was at Cambridge, is not interested in such a mundane matter as farming modernization so he deliberately stirs up trouble with a neighboring tribe. All this to get an exciting story and photographs of a conflict. Needless to say, Hunter squashes his scheme. Except for the fact that Barbara Shelley (evidently later known as "The First Lady of British Horror) is featured as Martha Locklan, there really isn't much to recommend this episode. Important perhaps as an example of 1950s British television but neither it's storyline or star are particularly interesting. At least not in this episode.
