A delicate must see
arnoudvanschie31 March 2006
Very pure and delicate tale of how a family copes with grief. Striking performance by Elske Rotteveel. Very promising young actress in my opinion.

Michiel van Jaarsveld's succeeded in creating the right ambiance with dreamy shots but letting the story unfold in a compelling way, keeping it from becoming a 'pretty-picture-movie'. Some might consider it to be a tad slow perhaps, but I like slow films.

I particularly liked the way the film feels authentic. I really believe that this happened (fictionally) in the life of a young girl in this part of the Netherlands.

Kudo's also for Maartje Pompe van Meerdervoort for the detailed crafted story.
