Gloria's big announcement
Jimmy_the_Gent412 December 2017
Gloria tells the family she is pregnant.

The first episode of the sixth season after five brilliant ones prior to this. While this is an OK episode, you could tell things had changed a bit. It's starts off with a funny Archie/Mike argument, then we find out Gloria is having a baby. Mike is at first pleased, then is reminded of his misgivings about bringing a child into this troubled world. There is an Archie/Gloria scene where Archie is much more nice and gentle then before, a sign of things to come. The funniest moment is when Mike comes home with an article by Alastair Cooke, and Edith thinks he said Alice The Cook!

Bad start to season 6

A rehash of Gloria's first pregnancy. Mike needs a magazine article to be a man and face his responsibility? RR & SS are put in a no win spot they have to overact with a lifeless script. Zero chemistry in this episode. Zero laughs. Moving out the Stivics will be a monkey wrench in a series that still was funny in season 5. Clock is ticking on laughs. We'll see if season 6 has any gem episodes left.
