In an apricot jam
JordanThomasHall24 June 2020
Patty takes a sudden interest in the stock market. Her idea isn't an investment plan, however, but to sell shares of her own formed company, Patty Lane, Inc. She heads a company consisting of board of directors Cathy, Richard, and Ross who agree upon selling apricot jam. They begin selling stock to friends at school and family. Patty cleverly schemes with friends to drum up demand with storeowners who agree to sell "Mother Patty's Preserves". Martin tries to explain to Patty how much the overhead costs will cut into profits. Patty is determined to beat the system, however, but faces pressure from the stockholders.

This is the second Patty Duke episode to be inspired by the "I Love Lucy" episode "The Million Dollar Idea".
