The Art of the Steal (#8.10)

Warning: Spoilers
Rebecca is worried that Robin gets bored of her because of the lack of sex. So she goes to his apartment to wait for him naked in front of TV. But he calls cheers that he is late, so Sam goes to tell Rebecca (well mainly to see her naked). They end up activating a security system and stay in the apartment until they can get out.

Lots of fun jokes. I liked the monopoly game the guys were playing with all the replacements of parts that were lost. Cliff talking about his tapeworm when he was a kid was awesome. The more other characters are getting mean to Cliff the more I like him. I wish they didn't have all this animosity against him though, especially from Norm.

The main story ended up being funnier that I expected. All that lasers an Sam thinking how Norm and Cliff would find that cool! He was a bit too sexually assaulter like in this episode but still good parts in it.

Audio issues ruined it

Over all a good episode funny moments when Rebecca and Sam get trapped in Robins Apartment. Meanwhile back at the Bar Fraiser and Norm try to teach Woody economics by playing Monopoly. Over all good episode but the audio issues are annoying after they had to edit out Carla's line . Wish they would fix it already.

Not Much to Speak Of

Two things go on. One is a Monopoly game designed to teach Woody about economics. The second is Robin Colcord's apartment where Rebecca goes to have sex with him. Except, Sam, knowing Robin is not going to be there for some time, goes himself and they are trapped.

Warning: Spoilers
"Sam & Rebecca are trapped in Robin's high-security apartment building and can't get out!"

Thanks for the episode summary, Carla, but I'll take it from here. In one of the worst openings in series' history Norm and Carla rip up Cliff's cash to ostensibly explain economics to Woody. Shredding someone's hard-earned money must have been side-splittingly hilarious in November of '89, because today it's loathsome and cruel.

Rebecca- hot and wet after an extended period of abstinence- decides to sneak into Robin's house and bang the British accent out of him. Of course his flight is delayed and he never makes it home. And obviously Sam gets over there in an attempt to bang the hair off Rebecca's legs. And sure, a high-tech system of motion-detecting laser-beams imprison the two of them in the house. Wish I had a nickel for every time this happened to me...

Sam's character is oddly stoned in this episode... he looks like he's on some powerful Vicodin. He speaks in a sing-songy voice and seems more like Otto from "The Simpsons" than Mayday Malone. He is also smug and obnoxious.

This week's B-story feature the boys playing Monopoly, and the sequence contains just about every Monopoly/economics joke you'd ever expect. Like the beard-growing contest in "Two Girls For Every Boyd," this sounds a lot funnier on paper than it plays on TV.

Sam and Beck-Beck eventually escape, but Sam playfully mentions that he may have molested/raped her as she was sleeping. What a lovable nut that Sam is! Walk on...

Awful.

Warning: Spoilers
Ripping up someone's money isn't remotely funny. As a matter of fact, there's not a single laugh in the entire episode. Plus with no Diane there's no moral compass, therefore nothing else.
