I saw After Life at a film festival in Los Angeles and I was blown away. The two actors were great and the production values far above the other entries. The set was really cool. Not what I expected in the afterlife. Most of all I was impressed by the script. The writing was tight and sharp. It gave me a lot to think about regarding morality and the smart humor made me laugh.
I didn't know what to expect at first and it continued keeping me guessing until the surprise ending. It takes swipes at all religions for some of their hypocritical behavior but does it in a bitingly funny and entertaining way. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if some fundamentalists got mad. However, it plays no favorites. I really had to examine my own life and do a little soul searching. So, who's perfect? Anyway, I guess you can tell I liked it, but who wouldn't?
