Pretty Funny

I loved the long wait Al goes through on the phone to get a car part. The more serious subplot is Bud trying to cope with his inability to get a date. It ends leaving you wondering if it will be continued in the next episode, but apparently they dropped it with no explanation. Also Kelly's motivation to save electricity is funny. Darcy and Miss Bundy don't play a big part in this episode. Al and Bundy's plots are the majority of the episode. This story show a new turn for the series ,as they attempt to add a serious note to the show. I highly recommend this episode. And think you should purchase the series just for this episode.

Bud vs. Bud.
BA_Harrison22 December 2022
It seems as though all those years of taunts and ridicule have finally taken their toll on Bud, the poor lad seemingly suffering from schizophrenia. After his latest persona, Billy Ray Bud, fails to pull the women, Bud locks himself in the basement where he hears a voice telling him "If you build it, he will come." Bud constructs a wooden portal through which another Bud emerges, introducing himself as the cool part of his personality. Cool Bud says he will teach Bud how to interact with women, but when Bud fails a test, the cool side tries to take over by force.

Meanwhile, Al is stuck on the phone trying to get in touch with a human operator so that he can get a replacement alternator.

This one is fairly light on the funny stuff (mental illness is rarely a laughing matter) but, hey, we get a lot of Kelly in her waitress outfit, so it's not all bad. This episode ends rather abruptly, with Bud 'possessed' by his cool side, so one might reasonably expect the next episode to continue with the story line. Apparently, it doesn't, which makes this a bit of a strange one.
