A great little piece of history
miri-184 July 2006
Sensitively directed by Ilan Bernet and beautifully filmed by Jorge Gurvich.

Excellent screenplay by Ilan Bernet, based on a book by Nathan Shaham by the same name.

Set in a kibbutz in Israel in the late 1940's, we peek into the lives and loves of young idealists who have set out to build a homeland and establish their independence.

Elite Prag, appearing here in her debut, was an excellent choice for Leah, the main character.

The entire cast – Irit Frank, Avi Kushnir, Efron Etkin were very well picked for their parts.

A well researched glimpse into a special time in the formation of modern Israeli society.

Why have we not seen more from Ilan Bernet and this cast?
